Position Overview

The Architectural Job Captain is responsible for monitoring a project from concept through construction.  He/she will support each project, coordinating with all those involved to ensure production is feasible and successful.

Duties & Responsibilities


  • Successfully manage project work within the Design Development and Construction Document phases for multifamily and mixed use projects utilizing Revit
  • Maintain involvement during construction administration, construction coordination and construction documents phase
  • Review all work and follow guidelines in relation to budget, scheduling and quality control
  • Maintain relationships and good communication with staff, consultants, contractors and city agencies



  • BA/BS Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
  • 5+ years experience, preferably in project responsibility; LEED preferred
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and strong professional demeanor as well as design sense
  • Established approach to decision-making and problem-solving, particularly within a strict timeframe
  • Proven experience with AutoCAD, Revit and SketchUp, minimum 5 years Revit proficiency in a team environment
  • Knowledge of construction types and current codes
  • Ability to direct and guide others on organization of drawings, files, etc.
  • Ability to apply standards to drafting and documentation

Education Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
  • 5+ years experience, preferably in project responsibility; LEED preferred
