Part 2 Changes to the 2017 Code

There are quite a number of challenges in the changes made to the 2017 codes: these include glazing issues, minor architectural work that trigger major electrical work, lack of uniformity among plan checking, lack of training by installers, inspectors, and even architects. Session 1 covered the 2017 changes and challenges, Session 2 covers the changes for 2018 and how they impact design.

Learning Objectives:

1.To identify 2018 Green Code and Title-24 Changes
2.Identify the impact on current design made by the 2018 code changes
3.Identify coordination issues with all other disciplines due to 2018 code changes
4.Discuss what are headaches, cost impacts, uniformity, and consistency in plan check and inspections due to the 2018 changes
